- Is it possible to backup VMs running on a Citrix XenServer Hypervisor?
Environment
- Cove Data Protection (Cove)
Solution
- It is not possible to backup VMs running on a Citrix XenServer Hypervisor, as there currently is no plugin / datasource for it
- You can backup the VMs by doing a VM guest level backup and select all available data sources to make a full system backup.
- In this case you can restore single files and do a full system restore to a VMDK or VHDX using Virtual Disaster Recovery.
