Make a tenant inactive

You can make CSP and non-CSP tenants inactive in Cloud Commander. When a tenant is inactive in Cloud Commander it is still linked to Cloud Commander and shown on the Microsoft Cloud Access page, but no tenant data is visible in Cloud Commander. You can't administer a tenant or view information for it using Cloud Commander if the tenant is inactive.

When you change an inactive tenant back to active, it still has the required customer approval for you to administer the tenant in Cloud Commander.

Requirements

Make a tenant inactive in Cloud Commander

  1. In the left navigation, select SettingsMicrosoft Cloud Access.
  2. Filter or search to find the active tenant you want to make inactive. The active tenant must have a GDAP relationship status of approved or a Guest account status of approved.
  3. Select the checkbox for the tenant and select Set as inactive.
  4. When prompted, review the summary of your request, and confirm.

The tenant is set to inactive, and no data is visible in Cloud Commander. The tenant is still linked to Cloud Commander with the customer approval intact so you can change it back to active if you want.

To change an inactive tenant back to active, follow the same steps as above but select Set as active instead.
