Linux Recovery

As System State cannot be backed up and restored for Linux devices, the following steps can be followed to restore a Linux system:

1. Reinstall the correct Linux distribution
2. Install Backup Manager in restore-only mode:
   1. Run the installer by itself:
      • ./mxb-linux-x86_64.run
   2. Enter the original device name, installation key, and encryption key
   3. Choose option R for restore-only mode
3. Launch Backup Manager
4. Restore the files and folders that you want to recover
