N-able Backup: how to set size limit for backup

  • Is there a size limit on how much data can be backed up?

Environment

  • N-able Backup

Solution

  • On default All-In backup product, there is no size limit on how much data can be backed up.
  • Custom products may set size limits.
  • In the N-able Backup and Recovery Web Console:
    1. Click Product Management from the left hand panel.
    2. Add a new or edit an existing product (You can use the "Based On" section to clone a previous product).
    3. Look for the Section called "Selection".
    4. Edit the field called "Maximum used storage (GB)".
    5. Click Go To Dashboardon the left hand panel.
    6. Click the device name to open Properties.
    7. Click Modification.
    8. Click Product drop down and select the new product.
    9. Click Save.
  • In the Backup Management Console software:
    1. Click the Manage menu at the top of the application.
    2. Click Manage Products.
    3. Add a new or edit an existing product (You can use the "Based On" section to clone a previous product).
    4. Look for the Section called "Selection".
    5. Edit the field called "Maximum used storage (GB)".
    6. Click OK.
    7. Click Device View.
    8. Right Click on a Device.
    9. Click Modify Device from the pop-up menu.
    10. Click Product drop down and select the new product.
    11. Click Save.
