How to Create Custom Reports

This section gives you the tools to create ready-to-use reports using templates and report parts. The following three example reports are provided, each being more complex than the prior:

Before beginning, ensure that you reviewed the first three steps of the Custom Reports checklist.

  • Missing Patches - which uses the Generic Template with no subscription, creates a dataset, and sets up a filter through the Query Designer.
  • CPU and Disk Utilization - which uses a generic Template and adds Report Parts to the Template to create a customized Technical Summary Report.
  • Exec Summary with Hardware Inventory - which uses the Executive Summary Template and adds the Hardware Inventory Report Part to create a new report.
