Report Manager 5.0 SP9 Release Notes
Build: 5.0.9.12 | Last updated: 14 May 2026
What’s New
Report Manager 5.0 SP9 includes backend improvements that enhance report accuracy, performance, and system reliability.
Patch reporting improvements
Patch-related reports now produce more accurate and consistent results. This release improves the handling of missing or inconsistent install dates, refines how installed and missing patch counts are calculated, and ensures patch detail and approval reports exclude irrelevant or deleted data.
Performance and reliability enhancements
Improvements to backend data processing increase stability when working with large datasets and long-running jobs. These updates reduce processing times and help maintain consistent data exports.
Maintenance and monitoring enhancements
Additional safeguards have been introduced to prevent extended data processing runtimes. These checks help ensure reporting services continue to operate reliably without impacting system availability.
Upgrade Report Manager
Before upgrading to Report Manager 5.0 SP9, make sure your N-central backups and Report Manager database backups are up to date. For instructions on configuring backups, see the online guides for each product.
Installation Duration Notice
The installation process might take longer than expected because of updates to the statetransitions table. These changes usually take a few minutes during the SQL scripts stage, but on very large servers, they can potentially take several hours.
You can monitor progress in SQL Server Management Studio by using Activity Monitor or by running the sp_who or sp_who2 queries. Alternatively, you can directly query the config.dbo.Log table.
