Create an AuthAnvil multi-factor authentication profile

AuthAnvil authentication uses a combination of a PIN and a single-use password provided through a security token. The single-use password cannot be re-used and is impossible to duplicate or forge.

Before adding AuthAnvil multi-factor authentication to user accounts, create an AuthAnvil authentication profile to enable N-able N-central to communicate with the security server. The security server authenticates any single-use passwords when the user account signs in.

  1. Click AdministrationUser Management > Two-Factor Authentication.
  2. Click Add.
  3. Enter a Name and Description.
  4. Enter the Authentication URL of the AuthAnvil server.
  5. Enter the AuthAnvil Site ID that was provided by AuthAnvil.
  6. Click Save.

The new profile appears in the multi-factor authentication profiles list. To verify the connection to the server, click Test in the Actions column for the server. This verifies that N-able N-central can connect to the AuthAnvil server. You can now apply an AuthAnvil authentication to a user.
