Create user accounts for Active Directory users

There are two methods for creating N-able N-central user accounts for Active Directory users. Both methods work equally well and selecting the one to use is a matter of convenience.

Mobile device management does not integrate with Active Directory.

Import LDAP accounts from an LDAP Server

  1. Click AdministrationUser Management > SSO Providers.
  2. Click the Name of the server.
  3. Click the Accounts tab.
  4. Select the check box next to the accounts to import.
  5. For each account to be imported, you must select the appropriate Customer/SO Name and Account Type.
  6. Click Import Now.

The user accounts are added to N-able N-central.

Import LDAP accounts from the list of users

This procedure can only be performed at the Service Organization level or Customer level.

  1. Click AdministrationUsers Management > Users.
  2. Click Create UserLDAP User.
  3. Select an LDAP server from the Server Name drop-down menu.
  4. Select the check box next to the accounts to import and select the appropriate account type.
  5. Click Import Now.

The user accounts are added to N-able N-central.
