IIS Website Metrics service

When this service has a scan interval of less than 5 minutes, the agent may take longer than the scan interval to gather the metrics. As a result, you may notice some scan intervals are not populated.

The IIS Website Metrics service obtains metrics for web sites hosted using IIS.

N-able N-central can monitor the IIS Application Pool on devices provided that they meet the following minimum requirements:

  • The operating system on the device must be one of the following:
    • Windows 2003 Server (all editions),
    • Windows 2003 R2 Server (all editions),
    • Windows 2008 Server (all editions),
    • Windows 2008 R2 Server (all editions), or,
    • Windows 2012 Server (all editions).
  • Microsoft .NET 4.5.2 or later is installed on the device.
  • Windows PowerShell 3.0 is installed on the device.

This service can not be associated with devices that use Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8.

Get Requests Per Second Rate that HTTP requests using the GET method are made to the monitored IIS web site.
Known Users Per SecondRate users are making non-anonymous requests to the monitored IIS web site.
Not Found Errors Per SecondRate of errors due to requests that could not be satisfied because the requested document could not be found.
Post Requests Per SecondRate requests using the POST method are made to the monitored IIS web site.
