The Physical Drive (EqualLogic) service monitors the overall status of a physical drive attached to a Model PS6100 Dell EqualLogic SAN running v6.0.2 firmware.

Drive IdentifierEnter the name of the physical drive to monitor. For a list of the physical drives, query the EqualLogic SAN with the 1.3.6.1.4.1.12740.3.1.1.1.1 SNMP OID.

Describes the current status of the physical drive. The possible values are:

1On-lineThe disk is used in the RAID set.
2SpareThe disk is not currently used by a RAID configuration but may be used when status of a currently on-line disk changes.
3FailedEither the disk is faulty or when there is no power.
4OfflineThe disk doesn't fall into any of these other categories.
5Alt-sig
6Too-smallThe drive is too small to be used. The drive cannot be converted to spare.
7History-of-failuresThe drive has a history of failures. The drive can be converted to spare.
8Unsupported-versionThe drive label is from a later release. The drive can be converted to spare.
9UnhealthyThe drive is unhealthy.
10ReplacementThe drive is a replacement drive.
11EncryptedThe drive is encrypted and cannot be decrypted.
12NotApprovedThe drive is not DELL approved.
13Preempt-failedThe drive is off-line due to excessive errors.
