Patch detection on demand
on demand detect patching
When troubleshooting patching issues, you may need to confirm whether patches installed successfully. This requires running patch detection to collect the latest results.
Patch Detection on Demand lets you run a one‑time patch detection task on a single device or multiple devices. Unlike maintenance windows, which delay detection results to manage data flow, Patch Detection on Demand submits results immediately.
Patch Detection on Demand creates a temporary maintenance window.
The times shown (for example, midnight, repeating every six hours) are system-defined and do not indicate a scheduled task. Any changes you make to this window are ignored.
The maintenance window is automatically removed after detection completes or the window expires.
Patch Detection on Demand is available on devices running agent version 2020.2 or later.
