Enable or disable a notification

Turn off or on notifications on the status of the service and device specified in a notification profile. If you are testing a device or service, you can turn off the notification for the duration of the test to avoid sending false notifications to users.

This is available at the System Administrator and Customer/Site level but not at the Service Organization level.

1. Click Configuration > Monitoring > Notifications.
2. Select the check box next to the notification profiles.

   If the notification profile was created at the Service Organization-level, it cannot be modified at the Customer-level. The check box will appear grayed out.

3. Click More Actions, and select Enable or Disable.

The Status column displays the state of the notification for the profile. If disabled, the users will not receive any notifications until it is enabled again.
