Get a N-able Backup passphrase
When you need to perform any kind of restore, you prompted to enter a passphrase to start the process. This is the link/key to the last known backup so it can continue on as if there was no interruption.
The passphrase, or security code, is a unique key required that the backup software uses to connect with the current backup in the cloud to match with the device.
- In the Backup Dashboard list, click All Devices.
- Click the name of the device that you want to view.
- Switch to the Settings tab > Backup section.
- Click Generate a Passphrase.
- Record the passphrase, username and password and click OK.
The phassphrase is valid for 24 hours.
N-able Backup connects with the cloud backup. An initial backup check will take place to ensure any new or updated files are saved to the cloud.
