Retry failed patches

Retrying a patch lets you attempt the installation again on devices where it previously failed, such as after resolving package holds or connectivity issues.

To retry failed patches:

  1. Go to Configuration > Patch Management > Linux Patching.

  2. Select Failed Patches on the Patch Management page.

  3. Scroll or use filters to find the patch you want to retry.

  4. Select the checkbox next to the patch. You can select multiple patches to retry them in bulk. The Actions dropdown is then displayed.

  5. Select Retry patch. In the Schedule installation dialog, choose one of the following options:

    • Install now: The patch is queued for installation.

    • Set a schedule: Specify a start date and time.

    • (Optional) To retry any incomplete patch installations, turn on Retry patch, and choose a daily or weekly interval.

    • (Optional) To retry the patch for an offline device, turn on Retry when online. The agent installs the patch when the device reconnects.

    • (Optional) To prompt the device to restart after installation, turn on Reboot asset after installation.

  6. Select Install patches to complete.
