Backup management

N-able N-central backup management provides data backup and restore capabilities. You can do this on physical and virtual servers from local disk or off premise cloud storage. With N-able N-central backup management, with either Arcserve or N-able Backup, you never have to do another full backup, greatly reducing network traffic, disk storage and load on production applications.

DEPLOYMENT DETAILS

Enable MSP Backup

Select this option to install the integrated N-able Backup software on the device.

Start Installation

Select when the installation of N-able Backup will occur.
Configuration

Select a backup profile to use with N-able Backup.
Enable Arcserve Backup Select to install the Arcserve D2D backup software.

License Type to use

Select the license type to determine the Backup Manager license to be assigned to the device. The type of license that can be assigned is based on the device type.

For Server - Windows devices, the following licenses are available:

  • Backup Manager Standard Server - provides standard Backup Manager functionality. It does not support selective backup and recovery of Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SQL and Microsoft Hyper-V data.
  • Backup Manager Advanced Server - provides standard Backup Manager functionality. It does support selective backup and recovery of Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SQL and Microsoft Hyper-V data.
  • Backup Manager SBS Server - provides the same functionality as a Backup Manager Advanced Server license but is restricted specifically to Small Business Server variations of Microsoft Windows.

For Workstation - Windows and Laptop - Windows devices, the following licenses are available:

  • Backup Manager Workstation (Laptop/Desktop) - provides standard and advanced Backup Manager functionality for both Windows workstations and Windows laptops.

Select Backup Management Configuration Profile

Select the Backup Manager Profile that will be applied to the device.
INSTALLATION AND UPGRADE DETAILS

Installed Backup Manager version

The version of Backup Manager software that is currently installed on the device.

Latest Backup Manager version

The most current version of the Backup Manager software that is available for installation on devices.

Update Backup Manager to the latest version

Displays Already at latest version if no update is required.

Status

The current status of any Backup Manager installation operations.
