Increase the logging level of the agent or probe

You can increase the logging level to help in troubleshooting more complicated issues that require you to send a copy of logs to Technical Support.

Windows agent

  1. Click Views All Devices.
  2. Click the device name for which you want to increase the logging level.
  3. Click on the Settings tab, then Local Agent.
  4. Click on the drop-down menu for the Log Level field, and choose the required alerts.
    1. Critical Errors Only: Only critical errors are logged.

    2. All Errors: All of the errors are logged.

    3. Normal: Basic information on the errors and messages are logged.

    4. More Detail: Detailed information on the errors and messages are logged.

    5. Most Detail: A full account of the errors and messages are logged. This level should only be used when debugging or troubleshooting.

  5. Click Save.

Windows probe

  1. Click Administration Probes.
  2. Click the probe name for which you want to increase the logging level.
  3. Click the System Communication tab
  4. Click on the drop-down menu for the Log Level field, and choose 5 - Most Detail
  5. Click Save.
