Increase the logging level of the agent or probe
You can increase the logging level to help in troubleshooting more complicated issues that require you to send a copy of logs to Technical Support.
Windows agent
- Click Views > All Devices.
- Click the device name for which you want to increase the logging level.
- Click on the Settings tab, then Local Agent.
- Click on the drop-down menu for the Log Level field, and choose the required alerts.
Critical Errors Only: Only critical errors are logged.
All Errors: All of the errors are logged.
Normal: Basic information on the errors and messages are logged.
More Detail: Detailed information on the errors and messages are logged.
Most Detail: A full account of the errors and messages are logged. This level should only be used when debugging or troubleshooting.
- Click Save.
Windows probe
- Click Administration > Probes.
- Click the probe name for which you want to increase the logging level.
- Click the System Communication tab
- Click on the drop-down menu for the Log Level field, and choose 5 - Most Detail
- Click Save.
