Removing Kaseya agents after migration

Deploy the KaseyaMigrationandRemoval.exe tool to remove Kaseya agents.

Upload KaseyaRemoval.exe into N-able N-central

  1. Download KaseyaMigrationandRemoval.exe from the N-able Resource Center at: https://nrc.n-able.com/Community/Scripts-Automation-Policies?fileid=329 and unzip the file.
  2. Sign-in to N-able N-central.
  3. From the Service Organization level.
  4. Expand Configuration in the left navigation menu.
  5. Go to Scheduled Tasks.
  6. Click Script/Software Repository.
  7. Click Add in the top menu drop-down.
  8. Click Push Third Party Software.
  9. Enter KaseyaMigrationandRemoval in the Name field.
  10. Click Browse and navigate to the KaseyaMigrationandRemoval.exe tool and click Open.
  11. In the Command Line Parameters field, enter KaseyaMigrationandRemoval.exe cleanupkaseya:true.
  12. Click OK.

Create a N-able N-central filter to locate devices with a Kaseya agent installed

  1. At the Service Organization level.
  2. Expand Configuration
  3. Go to Filters
  4. Click Add.
  5. Enter the Filter Name, Kaseya Software Detected.
  6. For filter is available to select Everyone.
  7. In the drop-down list box, click Ensure Show.
  8. In the Find devices where field, click Application > Application Publisher > CONTAINS > Kaseya.
  9. Click Save.

Locate devices with a Kaseya agent installed and remove them

  1. From the Service Organization level
  2. Go to Viewsin the left navigation pane.
  3. Click All Devices.
  4. Click the Filter button and select the Kaseya Software Detected filter .
  5. Select the Customer / Site header check box to select all devices listed.
  6. Click Add Scheduled Task > Push Third Party Software.
  7. For Task Name, enter Uninstall Kaseya Agent.
  8. In the Software to Deploy area, ensure Location is set to From Software Repository.
  9. Select KaseyaMigrationandRemoval as created above, from the Repository Item drop-down list.
  10. Click Save.

This will deploy the Kaseya removal tool to any devices where a Kaseya Agent was detected.
