Uninstalling the agent software

Uninstall an agent if you installed the wrong agent or need to change the configuration settings. When you uninstall an agent, the local services that are monitored on the device will transition to the Stale Data state until you install a new agent.

Windows agent

In the Control Panel or Windows Settings, click the applications icon, locate the Windows agent application and click Uninstall.

MacOS agent

Ensure the agent application is not running, then drag the application folder to the Recycle Bin.

Red Hat Linux agent

1. Open a Linux console on the device.
2. Navigate to the location of the installation script and switch to root by typing su root.
3. Run the installation script by typing /install.sh.
4. Type 2 and press Enter.
5. Type Y to confirm.
6. Type 3 press Enter.
