An asset scan on a device is when the local agent collects information on the properties of a device Regular scans ensure that the device information is current to help in troubleshooting.
Asset scans collect the following information on the properties of a device:

You can set the days of the week and month and the time the agent scans the device for updates. The default is every day. You may want to change this to be less frequent.
Asset scans are not performed on printers and network devices.
- Click Views > All Devices and click the name of the device.
- Click Settings > Local Agent.
- In the Asset Scan area, set the schedule of the scan.
- Click Save.
