What is Analytics data?

Analytics data is the information collected, processed, and analyzed to help you gain insights and make informed business decisions. Analytics involves examining data to uncover patterns, trends, correlations, and meaningful information that can be used to optimize processes, improve performance, and drive business strategies.

Direct Data Access allows you to connect to and analyze data that's not in N-central. As the warehouse often has more data that is not exposed in N-central Analytics, you can access that data using queries or other BI tools. See Direct Data Access for details.

The Analytics data dictionary provides detailed information about the data used in Analytics. It serves as a reference guide for understanding the structure, organization, and meaning of the data elements.

Exporting Analytics data for the N-able Backup Status service

N-central does not export the service instance N-able Backup Status - Total Backup. If you want to report on integrated N-able Backup Status information, you need to make sure you are using one of the 6 data sources from the N-able Backup Status as individual:

  • Files and folders

  • Hyper-V

  • MS Exhange Server

  • MSSQL

  • Network Shares

  • System State

You can configure the service in a service template with the option Use Asset Info.
