Connect to Snowflake using Tableau

You can use the Tableau built-in Snowflake connector to connect to Snowflake. Here's a step-by-step guide to help you set up the connection:

  1. Open Tableau Desktop.

  2. In the Connect pane, select Snowflake from the list of connectors.

    If you don't see Snowflake listed, you may need to download and install the Snowflake ODBC driver from the Snowflake website.

  3. Enter your Snowflake account information:

    1. Server: Enter the full URL of your Snowflake account, including the region and account name, for example, <account_name>

    2. Database: Enter the name of the Snowflake database you want to connect to.

    3. Schema: (Optional) Enter the name of the Snowflake schema you want to connect to.

    4. Warehouse: Enter the name of the Snowflake warehouse you want to use for the connection.
