Set the default service parameters

Configure the default values for each service parameter. N-able N-central displays the service parameters as configurable fields on the Service Details screens for each service.

This feature is only available at the system or product administrator level.

1. Go to Administration > Service Management > Default Parameters.
2. In the Default column, specify the default value for each service. For information about the parameters, see the services help topics.
3. Click the check box in the Propagate column that corresponds to the service and parameter to apply the settings to all existing services.

   If you select Propagate for the CPU, Disk, Log Analysis (Appended), and Process services, the existing settings for these services are overwritten. These services monitor the central server's log files, agents, and probes.

4. Click Save.

The defaults are saved and applied to any new instances of the service. If you selected Propagate, all existing service instances are updated.
