Add HaloPSA device class mappings
Device classes in N-central and HaloPSA must match to ensure tickets created for N-central devices are correctly linked to the corresponding site in HaloPSA.
- In N-central go to Administration > PSA Integration > Device Class Mapping.
- In the Device Class Mapping screen, select Add.
- Complete the mapping Name and Description.
- Select the Mapping tab.
- For each Device Class, choose a HaloPSA Configuration Type.
-
Select Unmapped to prevent N-able N-central from exporting data for that device class.
-
Choose Create New to create a new HaloPSA Configuration Type. In the dialog that appears, enter a Name and choose Create to add the new configuration type.
- Select the Select Customer/Sites tab.
- Choose the customer and sites for which the mappings apply.
- Click Save.
It’s important to map N-central device classes correctly. Devices classified as Workstations – Windows in N-centralmust be mapped to the Managed Workstation configuration type in HaloPSA. Devices classified as Servers – Windows must be mapped to the Managed Server configuration type.
Select the check box next to the column title Customer/Sites to select all customers.
