Change the priority order of warning states to reflect your networking needs. For example, if you want know if a service is Misconfigured before it reports in as Failed, you can rank Misconfigured higher than Failed,
Once you have customized the state priorities, you can switch back to the default state priorities.
- On the Administrator Console in the Services area, click State Priority Management.
- Select the State to display on failure to connect with ODBC, SNMP or WMI to determine the state that will be displayed when an SNMP, WMI, or ODBC-based service is unable to connect to a target device.
- Click the Use Default Order to clear the check box.
- In the list box, click the state you would like to move and click the Increase Priority or Decrease Priority to change its position in the list.
- Click OK.
The state priorities are changed for all customers in the system. The changes in state priorities take effect immediately at the dashboard and folder level. The states of individual services will be updated the next time data is submitted for them.
To change the priorities back to the default state, click Use Default Order and click OK.
