Configure unscheduled downtime for a device

Configure a device or a group of devices for unscheduled downtime to perform unscheduled or unexpected maintenance tasks. During this downtime, the device’s agent status and all monitored services change to a disconnected state.

To configure unscheduled downtime for a device:

Method 1: From the All Devices view

  1. Select Views > All Devices.

  2. Select Add Task > Maintenance > Unscheduled Downtime.

  3. Select the Configure Unscheduled Downtime checkbox.

  4. Select Save.

Method 2: From the Device Details view

  1. Select Views > All Devices.

  2. Select the device name to open its details.

  3. Select Settings > Monitoring Options.

  4. Select the Unscheduled Downtime checkbox.

  5. Select Save.

To configure unscheduled downtime for multiple devices:

  1. Select ViewsAll Devices.
  2. Select the checkboxes next to the devices you want to update, or select the checkbox at the top to select all devices.
  3. Select Add TaskMaintenanceConfigure Unscheduled Downtime.
  4. Select the Unscheduled Downtime checkbox.
  5. Select Save.

Repeat the steps above to take the device out of downtime.
