Delete a custom property
You can remove a custom property from all the devices or customers where it has been applied. This will not affect the devices or customer configurations themselves, however, it may render some filters and rules as unusable.
You cannot delete a custom property if it is associated with any filters or scheduled tasks. You must change or remove those associations first before you can delete it.
If you try to delete a custom property that is associated with a device or customer, you will get an error message. Click the Associations tab to see where the custom property is used. This prompt appears when you click Save. It does not appear when clicking Save and Propagate.
- Click Administration > Custom Properties.
- Select the check box next to a property and click Delete.
- Click OK to confirm.
The custom property is removed from the custom device property list.
