Add a date custom property for a device

Create a date custom property to store device-specific information, including warranty dates, maintenance schedules, or other time-based values for use in filters, rules, or automation.

1. In the left navigation menu, go to Administration > Custom Properties.
2. Select Add > By Devices > Date Type.
3. Enter a descriptive Property Name.
4. Select the Default Date, if required.

You can use a default value or update values individually for each device after the property is created..

5. Select the Operating Systems and Device Classes the property should apply.
6. Select Save.

The custom property is applied to devices based on the selected Operating Systems and Device Classes. You can update the value for individual devices as needed.
