Hardware requirements for AV Defender

Your system or environment must meet the following requirements to use AV Defender v5.3.26.735 and later. Installing AV Defender on systems that do not meet these minimum requirements may cause improper operation or system instability.

Processor for workstations
  • 1 GHz or faster Windows 7 Enterprise (32 and 64 bit)
  • 2 GHz or faster for Microsoft Windows 7 (32 and 64 bit), Microsoft Windows 7 SP1 (32 and 64bit), Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Windows 10, Windows 10 TH2, Windows 10 Anniversary Update "Redstone" -
  • 800 MHZ or faster for embedded and tablet operating systems
Processor for server
  • 1-300 endpoints: minimum Intel® Core™ i3 or equivalent processor
  • 300-1000 endpoints: minimum Intel® Core™ i5 or equivalent processor
Free memory
  • Recommended: 1 GB
  • Free memory represents the amount of memory available at run time before installing Security Manager AV Defender.

Hard disk
  • 1.5 GB for client
  • 410 MB for daily usage
  • 11 GB for Update Server

Free disk space should be where the root directory (%programfiles%) is located.

Communication ports
  • 80 - Update server port
  • 443 (HTTPS) - used by client software to connect to the communication server
  • 7074 - Update server port
  • 7076 - inbound/outbound signature updates
Traffic usage Download traffic on each client approximately 20 MB.
