iPads running version 12.2 of macOS do not register in N-able N-central MDM

Description

  • iPads running version 12.2 of macOS are not registering with N-able N-central using MDM.

Environment

N-able N-central

Solution

Apple have changed the registration of the MDM profile in iOS 12.2.
Please follow instructions below to resolve this issue.

1. Click the link in the invitation page to start the registration


2. Click allow on the confirmation prompt


3. **New Section** Apple now directs you to complete the stages in Settings


4. **New Section** Launch settings app, you will see the 'Profile Downloaded' option, tap it



5. Install the profile



6. Confirm prompt that it is not signed


7. Confirm install


8. Tap install


9. Tap trust to install the profile


10. Click Done, profile is installed

11. Open the app on the device and ensure location and notification prompts are accepted.
12. Next in N-able N-central open the device in the Mobile Devices tab and from the Action button select Update Asset Information
