Windows Backup service in a failed status

Description

The following error message appears:

Windows Backup failed status

201 No backup Job found please make sure you have a scheduled backupjob configured There is no backup job configured or date value has been returned incorrectly.

Environment

N-able N-central 9 and later

Solution

This occurs when either Task Scheduler or other backup tools are used instead of Windows Backup Server (GUI).

N-able N-central reflects in ( N-able N-central > Windows Backup Service) what the Windows Backup Server tool (GUI) has.

Use the Windows Backup Server GUI toll for scheduling the backup tasks.
Use the Task Scheduler or Backup Tool and create a custom service for monitoring the backup tasks.
