Reasons to why Windows Agents/Probes are not upgrading

Description

  • Some reasons to why the Windows Agents/Probes devices are not upgrading, even though it has been scheduled

Environment

  • N-able N-central 10+

Solution

  • The Windows Agent will not upgrade for the following reasons:
    • The Agent is not configured to upgrade
    • A scheduled task is in progress
    • The installation of a program is not completing
    • The installer crashes
    • It is not the Agent's turn in the upgrade queue
    • The Agent installer checksum is the same as the installed version (on a version which is the same installer as the latest version).
  • To check why the upgrade is not occurring, please do the following:
    1. Select Reports
    2. Select Administrative
    3. Select the Agent/Probe Overview report
    4. Select Agent
    5. Select View Report
