Description

This article provides information about Unit Scaling in N-able N-central with thresholds of services.

Environment

  • All versions of N-able N-central

Solution

In N-able N-central, you will notice that units are automatically scaled according to the amount that they reach for those specific services. For instance, a disk service may report in GB for a 250GB disk, or in TB for a 2TB disk. There's some values that determine where the scaling happens as well, so you will notice that when 120 seconds is being hit, service may converted it to a two minute. The way how it actually works is that 2 would always be a trigger point for conversion: so 2 minutes, 2 hours, 2 days, etc., are the tipping points.

If you wish to disable Unit Scaling:

  1. Click on the person icon in the upper right corner of your N-able N-central screen > User Details > Default Analysis report > and turn off Unit Scaling and Save.
  2. Log out, clear your browser cache and re-login with the account that had the change.
