Unable to Set Windows Agent To Never Update (Update New Version drop-down remains set to Always)

Description

You're attempting to set the Windows Agent upgrade drop-down from Always to Never in an effort to keep the agent on your Windows 2003 and windows XP devices from upgrading to an unsupported build. Alternatively, you're attempting to set the drop-down to always in an effort to upgrade the agents on Windows 2003 and Windows XP machines to N-able N-central 11 SP1

Environment

- N-able N-central 11 Service Pack 1 (11.0.1.985)
- Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 devices

Solution

By design, you will be unable to set the Agent drop-down to an alternate value on Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 devices. This is done because as of N-able N-central 11.0 (11.0.01079), Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 are no longer supported. Given this, the agent should never upgrade beyond version 10.2.1 automatically by N-able N-central . If you have agents which are, please upgrade the N-able N-central server to N-able N-central 11 SP1 HF1.
