Unable to Apply ShadowProtect SPX Service Template - No Asset Information Available

Description
- This article provides information on how to fix ShadowProtect service template not applying.
ERROR: No Asset Information available
Environment
- N-able N-central 10.2 SP 1 and newer
- ShadowProtect SPX
Solution
- When you apply ShadowProtect SPX service template you may get "No asset information found".
- In order for the service templates for SPX to be applied you need to make sure that device properties credential are temporarily updated with the credential you used to install ShadowProtect.
- Go to the Device -> Click Settings >> Click Properties (update the Credentials and make sure they are the ones you use when you installed ShadowProtect).
- From the Device Page at the top right, Click Add Task >> Click Update Asset Info.
- Wait for the Asset Info Update to complete (5 - 20 minutes - check if the Update Asset Info option is greyed out, to see when it is completed).
- Apply the Service Template (this should work now).
- Go back to Device Properties and change the Credential back to the device Credentials.
- Alternatively you can add the Service manually as follows.
- Go to Monitoring >> Status >> Click Add
- Select the service ShadowProtect SPX and the number of instances you want >> click Add
- With the service added click the Service Name >> Click the Service Details tab and enter the credentials manually.
