Restoring Deleted Devices or Services

Description
- You've accidentally deleted a device or service(s) from your N-able N-central server and you'd like to know the steps to take to restore it.
Environment
- N-able N-central
Solution
- Unfortunately, should you accidentally delete a device or service(s) from your N-able N-central server, you'll be unable to restore the single device or services directly
- If you'd like to bring the device back, you can either re-install the agent on it, either through a manual installation or by re-discovering the device with your Probe
- Alternatively, you can restore your N-able N-central server using a recent backup (acting quickly, and assuming your N-able N-central server performs regular backups, you should be able to use last night's backup without much loss in Historical Data)
- The services can be re-added to the device manually or via service template, but any additional changes that were made such as custom thresholds will also need to be made and saved
- Should you choose to re-install the agent as opposed to restoring from backup, you'll need to do before the 2:00am maintenance on the database, as the machine will be removed form the back end permanently, destroying historical data.
