Description
- Certain error codes encountered by the agent when installing patches may require resetting Windows Update Components to resolve.

Solution
- A number of error codes, such as 0x80240438, 0x8024000e, and others can often indicate a number of possible problems.
- These may be seen in the device's Patch Status / Patch Status V2 service, WindowsUpdate.log, or agent logs during patch installation.
- These error codes will need to be resolved on the Windows side in order for Patch Management to be performed successfully.
- One of the more common solutions from Microsoft is to reset the Windows Update Components to clear any errors and repair the component automatically when the components are rebuilt by Windows.
