Reset 2FA for a user account in N-able N-central,

Description

  • How to trigger the server to re-setup 2FA for a user that has a new phone.

Environment

  • N-able N-central

Solution

  • To resolve the issue
  1. Navigate to Administration
  2. Click User Management > Users
  3. Select the user in question
  4. Click the User Details tab
  5. Click the User Information tab
  • There is a reset button in the user Information area as long as 2FA is still enabled for the user .
  • If the reset button is not present, disable save, then re-enable 2FA for the user
