Reporting on OS Version

Description

How can I get a report on all devices running a specific version of Windows, for example Windows Server 2008?

Environment

N-able N-central version 10.1 and higher

Solution

Solution 1:
Create a filter
Apply the filter to the All Devices view
Export the All Devices View to CSV or PDF

The filter should be configured using:
OS > Reported Name > CONTAINS > desired OS ex. 2008

N-able N-central 12.0 SP1 contains a new filter called Operating System Version which you can use <,> logic to find specific versions of an OS.
OS > Operating System Version > CONTAINS > 6.0.

Solution 2:
Use stock N-able N-central reports, export the report to CSV and use Excel filtering to get your desired list of devices.

Stock reports you can use:
SO > Reports > Administrative > Devices report
SO > Reports > Asset > Asset Site
SO > Reports > Administrative > Agent/Probe Overview report

Solution 3:
Use the customer level Detailed Asset report
This report contains all the asset data of every device but is difficult to organize in a clean report.
