Description

  • This is a quick explanation of some of the services that are applied from the report manager service template and what they mean.

Environment

  • N-able Report Manager
  • N-able N-central

Solution

  • ETL Logs
    • This will monitor the ETL logs to see if any of the ETL packages are failing. If you get a failure on this log it is likely that an ETL has failed.
  • IIS Service
    • This will check to ensure the IIS service is running. This service is required for the web interface for report manager.
  • Maintenance Log
    • this will check to ensure the maintenance is running as well as completing without error
  • ODS Log
    • this will ensure that the ODS maintenance is running and completing without errors
  • PSA Log
    • The psa log will be misconfigures until a failure occurs. The psa log is only created for the first time if there was an error when pulling the ticket information.
      • Failed : the last scan on the PSA log shows that we were not able to pull the ticket information as expected
      • Normal : the last scan of the log report no new failrues when pulling tickets and thus is likely ok.
      • Misconfigured : Either this is pointing to the wrong directory or there has never been a problem with pulling the ticket information and thus no log was ever created.
  • N-able Report Manager Database connectivity
