N-able Report Manager - Upgrade Error 1001

Description
- When attempting to upgrade Report Manager the error 1001 may be received.
- Error 1001 is a Generic Error.
- Please review the Setup.log under \Program Files (x86)\N-able Technologies\Report Manager\logs for the specific error
Environment
- All Supported Versions of N-able Report Manager.
Solution
- Reboot the N-able Report Manager Server.
- Check for other applications installed on this server, such as Sharepoint, CRM, Exchange, PSA, WSUS and Kaseya (details in Online Help).
- Check the Content and System User roles were added for the User as per Online Help.
- This can also occur if something is generally wrong with IIS configuration, such as Default AppPool is not set to use 4.0.
- Problems with the file or in accessing the file msvcr100.dll and msvcp100.dll in C:\windows\system32 (version 32 on 64 bits OS), such as from an AV product.
- Try rebuilding the Reportserver virtual directories using SSRS Config Manager.
- Change 'Webservice URL' to ReportServer1 > apply > change back to ReportServer > apply.
- Change 'N-able Report Manager URL' to 'Reports1' > apply > change to 'Reports' > apply).
- Check that each of the IP Addresses are set to All Assigned.
- Click 'Webservice URL' > check 'IP Address' is 'All Assigned'.
- Click N-able Report Manager URL > Advanced > check 'IP Address' is 'All Assigned'.
- Check the MD5 posted on our Download page matches the MD5 of the downloaded file on the N-able Report Manager system. Use a tool like HashCalc, or a Powershell command.
- Check the language is set to US English for the Database instance, and the login_xxx and ncompass users via Properties.
- Run the installer, and when prompted, specify the internal IP address for both INTERNAL and EXTERNAL (not FQDN which can be applied later, and/or DNS can be fixed to return the internal IP also).
- If there is still any issue, try reviewing Event Logs for errors at the time of install.
- Collect the program files (x86) \Program Files (x86)\N-able Technologies\Report Manager\logs\setup.log
