Report Manager - Error 401 unauthorized when generating a report

Description
- The following error message appears when trying to generate a report within Report Manager:
- Error: The request failed with HTTP status 401: Unauthorized.

- N-able N-central
- Report Manager
Solution
- The following are common causes and resolutions for the issue:
- Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) is Unavailable or incorrectly configured.
- The Windows account used by Report Manager has had a password reset

- The Report Manager server is using an inaccessible address (such as, an external address instead of the localhost).
- The associated account does not have Content Manager and System User roles applied

- Issue is experienced with Report Manager being installed on Windows XP SP2 and Windows Server 2003 SP1

- The SQL Server/Report Manager account permissions are misconfigured
- For this, please reinstall Report Manager
- During reinstall, only use the INTERNAL IP field, and disable the external IP, which can be configured later.

- NOTE: Make sure to select the correct location of your SQL DB (SQLData folder) and logs (SQLLog folder) or it will cause a break in the continuity of your reporting.
