N-central Troubleshooting
Report Manager - Error 401 unauthorized when generating a report, the Windows account used by Report Manager has had a password reset.

Description
- The following error message appears when trying to generate a report within Report Manager:
- Error: The request failed with HTTP status 401: Unauthorized.
- ?The Windows account used by Report Manager has had a password reset.
Environment
- N-able N-central
- Report Manager
Solution
- This is common if a domain account was specified when installing Report Manager.
- It is recommended to create a local administrator account with a password that does not expire.
- To reset the credentials, please do the following:
- Select Start.
- Select N-able.
- Select Report Manager.
- Select Access Recovery.
- Select update the Windows account, which can be found at the bottom of the window.
- Reboot the server.
