N-central Troubleshooting
No asset information available when applying a Service Template

Description
- When trying to apply a Service Template, the following error occurs:
- No Asset Information Available
Environment
- N-able N-central
Solution
- Check if SNMP is enabled locally on the device.
- More information on this can be found here.
- Ensure that locally SNMP is installed:
- Search for Turn Windows features on or off in the Start menu
- Enable Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP)
- Select OK
- Navigate to the device within your N-able N-central Dashboard
- Select Settings> Monitoring Options
- Enable SNMP by checking the Use SNMP: option
- Ensure the applicable third party software is installed on the machine:
- Dell OpenManage Server Administrator
- HP Systems Insight Manager Agent
- IBM ServeRAID (for RAID-level monitoring)
- IBM Director Platform agent (for hardware-level monitoring)
- Intel System Management Software
- NOTE: For ESXI, ensure that the monitored VMware CIM port is correct (usually 5989)
- Re-discover the device, which can be done by doing the following:
- Select Actions > Run a Discovery
- Select the correct Customer/Site
- Select the appropriate Windows Probe
- Input the IP Address of the device
- Select the SNMP Settings tab
- Select the applicable profile
- Ensure the SNMP Community String is correct for the customer
- NOTE: It is usually public
- Select Finish
- Re-apply the Service Template
