Solution
- The error "no phone number on SIM" for a device indicates that the phone number could not be collected by the MDM agent because the phone number is stored elsewhere on the phone and not on the SIM card. Some providers do not store the phone number on the SIM, causing N-able N-central to be unable to retrieve it.
- The Phone Number displayed for a mobile device in the All Devices view may not be correct if the device is using a ported number provided by the mobile network carrier. N-able N-central uses the number recorded on the device's SIM (Subscriber Identity Module) card which may be invalid if it differs from the ported number provided by the carrier.
