Description

  • This article describes the issue when N-able N-central service physical drive (HP) gets misconfigured due to the OIDs and the service requirements are missing.

Environment

  • N-able N-central

Solution

  • Physical Drive (HP) requires an OID that starts with .1.3.6.1.4.1.232.3.2.5.1.1.6.
    • You can use a third-party tool to confirm that your host has this OID.
    • For example, you can check your host if this has OID by performing the steps below:
      1. Using MibBrowser, go to Edit > Settings > Select the SNMP Version.
      2. Click Ok.
      3. Go to Host: localhost > Community: public > Object ID: .1.
      4. Click GET SNMP Variable.
      5. Choose File and then Save Results As. Don't forget the period (.) before the OID.
      6. If your host does not have this OID, check support.hp.com for SNMP software for your device, e.g. ProLiant Support Pack or a Storage Driver for your RAID Controller.
