Solution
Device information (also referred to as Asset Information) is updated in full by the following methods:
From the Device Details view:
In the left-hand navigation menu, click All Devices. Click on the name of the device to enter the Device Details view. In the top right, click Add Task > Update Asset Info.
- If the device has an agent, this will trigger an agent asset update process,
- If the device does not have an agent and was discovered by a probe it will trigger a probe discovery against the device,
- If the device does not have an agent and was not discovered by a probe there is no way to automatically update the asset information and a probe discovery will need to be performed.
If you cannot see a Update Asset Info button, please review: Why a device is missing the Update Asset Info button.
