Environment

- Virtual Disaster Recovery
- Hyper-V
Solution
- The Backup Manager restore in progress panel will show the file it is currently restoring, Take note of that.
- Check the application logs locally from http://localhost:5000/logs/app
- Search for the file that is being restored and you will likely see the following:
- [BackupQueueHandler] Leaving restore of <filename>
- This means the restore of the data is complete but it is still doing some work. Likely merging disks. Look for the following line:
- [VhdApiWrapper] Start merging of difference disk to parent.
- This means the disks are being merged. It can occasionally take a long time.
- Check the device to see if you can find evidence of it still being merged.
- From your Hyper-V Manager you might see "Merge in Progress" status message.
