N-able Backup N-able N-central dashboard not showing data

Description

  • N-able Backup Dashboard in N-able N-central shows error:
  • Error: There is currently no data available for any backup data source.

Environment

  • N-able N-central
  • N-able Backup

Solution

  • Add Monitoring Checks per datasource and for "total backup"
    1. Select the device.
    2. Click Monitoring Tab
    3. Select Add
    4. Increase Instances for N-able Backup Status. (You must select 1 per datasource and an additional one for the Total status.)
    5. Click Apply
  • Edit checks to reflect the backup datasources you want monitored
    1. Click N-able Backup Status service in the list
    2. Select Service Details tab
    3. Select the corresponding Backup Data Source Type
    4. Click Ok
  • Repeat previous steps for each monitoring service
  • After the devices scan on the default 10 minute cycle, the Dashboard will be updated.
