  • Cannot apply LocalSpeedVault credentials from profile
  • LocalSpeedVault shows Failed status

Environment

Solution

This is a deliberate design decision to prevent data loss from the profile applying the incorrect LSV credentials when the LSV is not fully synchronized.
  1. Disable device profile
    • In Backup & Recovery Web Console, select device checkbox in dashboard > Assign Profile > choose No profile
    • In N-able N-central, go to All Devices > select device > Settings > Backup Management > Configuration > Set Settings Manually
  2. Restart Backup Service Controller on affected device to apply changes
    • Alternatively, wait 15 minutes and changes will be applied automatically
  3. Change LSV details via the Backup Manager to correct location and credentials to restart synchronization
  4. Re-apply profile
    • Reverse changes made in step 1
  • Once LSV is fully synchronized changes can be made from profile
