Description

Steps to monitor Windows Scheduled task (task scheduler).

Environment

  • N-able N-central version 10.1 or later

Solution

You can monitor the Windows Task Scheduler by using the Windows Applications and Services Logs service:

  1. Go to a device where you want to monitor the Windows Task Scheduler.
  2. Go to the Monitoring tab > Status tab.
  3. Click Add.
  4. Locate 'Windows Applications and Services Logs' service > add one instance of the service.
  5. Click Apply.
  6. Select the newly added 'Windows Applications and Services Logs' service.
  7. Go to the Service Details tab.
  8. Define the Details of what log and error type you want to monitor. In this case, select the Log to Monitor, in your case select Microsoft > Task Scheduler.
